Hi everybody!

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help with a translation from German. It is a baptismal record from 1579, written in Latin. I am unable to tell if the child baptised is Wendel, son of Clausen, or Clausen, son of Wendel. In going through the records, there doesn't appear to be any consistency in whether the child's name is listed first, or the father's. Any help at all would be appreciated!!

I can also add as an attachment if it's easier to read.

Regards,

Wendy

Hi Wendy,
if nobody will answer here, you might try in the german forum
https://de.geneanet.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=126
If you cannot write in german, you might write in english and translate your question with deepl.com, for example and write, that answers in english are appreciated or you translate the answer then back to english.

For me very difficult to read. I think, perhaps there is listed a city in the end "zu Schloßbach" (?), which means "in Schloßbach",
but really very difficult to read and if I were you, I would try it perhaps in the german forum, maybe somebody can help you with reading it.
